SASSA’s revised schedule confirms the November 2026 payment dates. Payments are staggered — Older Persons on Friday, 30 October, Disability on Monday, 2 November, and Children’s grants on Tuesday, 3 November. The SRD R370 grant is paid separately in batches during the last week of November.

Why payments are staggered
SASSA deliberately spreads payments over three working days each month. The rules: payments happen as early in the month as possible, never on the 1st, usually avoids Mondays, and never on a weekend or public holiday — if a date falls on one, it moves to the next working day. Staggering reduces queues at ATMs, retailers and SASSA pay points.
SRD R370 in November 2026
The SRD grant follows its own cycle: SASSA processes approved SRD applications in batches during the last week of November 2026. There is no single SRD payday — your date depends on your approval and bank verification timing for the month. Check your status at srd.sassa.gov.za (see our status check guide).
Before payday: quick checklist
- Banking details correct? Wrong or closed bank accounts are the #1 reason payments go missing. Update SRD banking details at srd.sassa.gov.za; other grants require an in-person visit.
- Gold Card holders: SASSA Gold Cards stopped working after 31 August 2026. Switch to the Postbank Black Card before November payday if you haven’t already.
- Under review? SASSA is verifying 350,000+ grants this financial year. If you received a review notice, complete it promptly or your November payment may be delayed.
- Don’t rush day one. Your grant stays in your account — collect when it’s convenient and avoid the queues.

Can I collect my grant at any retailer?
Yes — grants can be withdrawn at ATMs and participating retailers (Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Boxer and others) nationwide, not only at SASSA pay points.
My November payment is late — what do I do?
Wait 2–3 working days past your scheduled date, then call 0800 60 10 11 (toll-free, Mon–Fri 08:00–16:00) or visit your nearest SASSA office. Check your banking details first.
Is there a grant increase in November 2026?
No. The 2026/27 increases took effect in April 2026. Any future changes are normally announced in the February Budget speech.
